Summer Fun

We have had a great month so far!  We had a really nice visit with Auntie Chrystal, Adele, Jonny, Baba and Papa.  And as I'm getting more comfortable going places with all three girls on my own, we've been able to get out and have more fun.

Eleanor:
It's hard to believe that Eleanor is 8 weeks old already.  She is still doing extremely well and is so easy.  We have been enjoying seeing her personality come out more, and we have fun when she "talks" to us and smiles.  The last couple of days I've been laughing when she notices the ceiling fan in the bedroom - she stares and grins like she's seeing her best friend.  The girls also enjoyed her reaction to their little dance party yesterday, Eleanor was watching them and kicking her little legs along with them.

Lillian:
I've been enjoying my quality time with Lillian when Audrey has been in half-day camp.  Lillian is still acting out a little for attention, but she is very sweet most of the time.  She has a funny little personality and is so active.  And she mimics Audrey constantly!  I really have to watch her with Eleanor though, she partially smothers her with love sometimes, she just can't resist her.  I'm excited for when Eleanor can actually play with her.

Audrey:
Our little fashionista has been having a great summer.  She cracks me up with all of her wardrobe changes and co-ordinated outfits, although I try to keep track as the laundry is a little overwhelming even without so many each day!
Audrey is such a good big sister and has been a real help to me.  I have to keep reminding myself that she's still such a little girl.  We finally got her a new bike this week, and with her practice on her balance bike she's been doing great.  The bike is a bit heavy for her, so she can't get started on her own yet, but she does great with a little help to get started.

We've had so much fun in the last few weeks, with the cousins, going to the beach and the park, and yesterday we got a slip and slide.  We also caved in and bought a mini van, which has really come in handy!  We love our new Sienna, and have had it fully loaded with 8 passengers many times already.  And now our au pair Mathilde is arriving on Friday and we can't wait to have new adventures with her.  I think it's going to make the last month of my maternity leave especially enjoyable :)

The girls with Baba at the beach:

Audrey thought it would be fun to crawl on the sand.  So Lillian thought it would be a good idea too.

Big girl bike!

Michael got a real work out chasing after Audrey:
We ended up getting Lillian a new bike too - a little motorized one :)

 Lillian just can't stay away!

More being silly with Audrey:

Michael went up to Toronto for a few days this weekend.  This is how our room looked like the first morning.  Thankfully the big girls have been sleeping in their own beds the rest of the time.
